Smart Bangladesh will be implemented thru the use of ICT in agriculture
Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) has organized this seminar on 'Use of ICT and Inclusive Growth.' to make well acquainted with the proper and complete use and implementation of ICT devices and services for the ensuring the mobilising growth of society, academy and economy related to agricultural, fisheries and livestock in the context of both national and international level.
Mr. Md. Fazlul Kader; Additional Managing Director - 01 of Palli Karma - Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) was the keynote presenter of this seminar. Via his presentation he made us well familiar with the steps need to be taken to completely eradicate the economical discrimination from the very roots. In addition he has also naratted the obstacles faced by the unprivileged people and how to overcome those.
Dr. M.A. Sattar Mandal; Professor, Department of Business Administration, University of Asia Pacific in his speech has focused on why we should the rightful knowledge on the proper usage of ICT to bridge the gap between ours and abroad condition. Furthermore, he also discussed about the ways to utilize robotics and digitalisation to uplift the current level of agriculture in Bangladesh.
Mr. Tarik Mahmudur Islam; project director, Agriculture Mechanization Project Through Integrated Management, Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) has presented how the creation and evolution of our agricultural consumable items and different varieties of crops, fruits and vegetables are highlighting our agricultural image in the face of the world, via his speech and what kind of role their are playing in increasing our national revenue and employment opportunities.
Mr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman Sohel; Director of BASIS has enlightened us with the reasons of why we can't expect to achieve the overall development goals of BD, leaving anyone behind. Lastly he described why we are lagging behind to implement the steps related to inclusive growth of Bd.
Dr. Atiur Rahman; the Chairperson of Unnayan Shamannay was the chief guest of this seminar. In his speech he introduced us with the procedures we need to follow for transitioning BD's traditional agriculture into digitalised agriculture. Along with this, he narrated what kind of obstacles he faced while implementing digitalised banking, during his tenure as the governor of Bangladesh Bank and what where the steps taken by him to alter the banking system of Bangladesh.
In conclusion, from the learnings of the semester it can be concluded that if we expect to reach and fulfill our dream of creating SMART Bangladesh, then we need to consider each and everyone's contribution equally, no matter how minute it is.
